ABA Therapy

SLC Therapy is committed to providing language based ABA programs to our clients.  Our ABA programs prioritize language, verbal fluency, social relatedness, social thinking, and social development.  With this, our speech-language pathologists serve as co-leaders with the behavior analyst in the development, training, and even implemenatino of our ABA programs. Our ABA programming is inclusive of daily living that includes feeding, sensorimotor skills, and toileting.

SLC utilizes standardized and criterion referenced tools for assessments including, but are not limited to, Early Start Denver Model for Young Children with Autism, ABLLS-R, VB MAPPS.  The assessment and programming are individualized and based on client needs.

SLC recommends a minimum of a 20 hour per week program.

  • For children 0-3 years old: Home based ABA program with SLC therapists and program supervision.
  • For children ages 3-5: Home based ABA program 20 hour program and customized schedule for preschool integration with shadow. Additionally, develop leisure and group participation skills.
  • For elementary school students ages 6-12: Home based ABA program 20 hours per week and SLC shadow to support generalization and learning in the school environment. Continued expansion of leisure, group participation. Literacy development is an added component to increase independence and participation in a literal world.
  • For middle and high school students: Home and community based program 20 hours per week and SLC shadow for vocational and social development. Literacy development is an added component to increase independence and participation in a literal world and integrated in the vocational exploration, development and training.
