Social Groups

KTCG engages and targets the underlying brain processes that support conversation including social referencing, emotional engagement, perspective taking, regulation, and flexibility. This social program is for clients ages 3-23 with social language challenges. KTCG provides one to one and small group coaching focusing on social cognition, conversation fluency, and social skills.

SLC Therapists conduct an assessment, record review, and video taped conversation/play sample. Clients are then placed in groups based on: age range, ability, social communication needs, goals, and height. Groups meet weekly and are conducted in 8-10 week cycles for a duration of 75 minutes inclusive of parent feedback. Participants may require additional 1:1 therapy in social coaching, language therapy, etc.

F.S.O.

F.S.O. is a component of KTCG for siblings of people with disabilities. Participants are in a group with their own social therapist working and talking about sibling connections, friendships, and tools for social success with their siblings. We recognize that all life and learning is involved in a conversation and social connectedness. This group occurs in concert with KTCG social groups and works to integrate F.S.O and their siblings in play and conversation

Summer Intensives available.
